Staples: This is Your Sign
Staples has one of the robust sign printing services in the office solutions game. So to announce this service to new small business owners, we hit them with a little nostalgia: A near shot-for-shot remake of Ace of Base’s “The Sign.” A little on the nose you say? Why do you hate fun!!! We also ran with the concept to produce :15s social videos.
I played an ACD role on this project and help write and shepherd scripts from the brilliant minds of Johan Lopez-Otero and Greggy Adriano.
We also created a ridiculous fake interview of Ace of Base band members using real archival interview footage. Here they explain what their hit song “The Sign” was really all about.
